Next year it will be (almost solely due to how the schedules work out and the likely initial rankings next year)
This is my biggest problem with letting humans choose the teams. Whether they know it or not, each team's ranking is primed based on a completely made up and worthless preseason poll. The only way to get in without winning the conference is by getting a high preseason ranking - this applies to everyone outside the SEC in my opinion.
