Since the beginning of time, man has been rating his binge level. This is the goEMAW binge level meter. Alright, here's how this works. You come here and post on the scale below how binged out you are at the moment. If you're at a certain binge level but you're predicting you get to another level, feel free to post that as well. This is just a BASE scale. You can certainly elaborate on your scale, just make sure its understandable. The last thing we need is for a binging level to become unrecognizable to other bingers.

0- You are currently sober as a bird. You haven't had a drink and you're starting to feel a little bit sick from it. This is a disaster waiting to happen.

1- First drink, first sip, whatever it may be, you're back on the horse. But you're still able to operate the combine. Maybe the in-laws are around or you have "responsibilities" to do later and you're just firing up the engine to make sure it's still running. Maybe it's lunch time and you're just trying to get through the day? Either way, you're not at 0.

2- You've left the starting line behind. Things are still casual at this point, but at any moment things could get serious. This is what I call the "8manpick" line. Either you turn back and play it cool for the night/day, or you drink further into the unknown.

3- Pistons are firing here. You've had a few cocktails and you're feeling like a million bucks. Put those car keys back in the pocket and grab another cold one, you're in for a bumpy ride.

4- Another drink? Sure. Doesn't matter what it is. Tequila? Fine by me. You've hit your stride. It's binging time and you're ready to drive this bus through someone's living room. Top of the bell curve. A few more drinks and things are going to get weird. A few less, and it's going to be a waste.

5- You're still aware of what's going on around you, but things are getting out of hand. You're pissing every 6 minutes and it smells like your Uncle Brad's breath on the Fourth of July. Oh, there are buttons on my shirt? Hadn't noticed. All I see is my chest hair breathing awesomeness onto everyone in this bar.

6- Pretty pak'd here. You're turntable-ing with steve dave and the Spice Girls are playing. Absolutely no recognition of what is going on around you. There will be a few questions to be answered in the morning, but you've still got a few brain cells working and you can still find your way home. See you in the hangover thread in the morning.

7- The lights are on but no one is home. You won't remember telling us you're at Defcon 7 in the morning, and you most definitely won't be able to find the 7 key on your keyboard. Just type some jibberish here and we'll figure it out. Go cats.

I had to re-read the scale. I think I was 6 plus, but the only thing I have to go on is what my wife said. I can't find any reference to "you came into the room prancing like a reindeer" in the above, but that would have to be at least a 6, right?
