We made the right call here guys. $3 mil is a big chunk of change, it sounds like Kris wanted out, and in the case of the sell on clause we could still see more money coming in down the road. There is still plenty of time to get a backup striker, we have enough guys to play out wide. We have done fine after selling off guys before. It sucks but we are going to be okay.

The difference between oscar and Robb making that tweet is the maximize the opportunity part. oscar would make it sound like we don't need talent, we need heart. Robb basically said don't want to be here then we'll get a nice fat check and go find another good player with it.

What that sounds to me like is that SKC didn't want to pay as high a salary as he wanted and was probably using him missing time for Euros as leverage

Probably and that's stupid. On merit he pretty obviously deserved to be our highest paid player but he didn't even want that.
