tangentially related - just watched the "next goal wins" documentary on Netflix covering the american samoa team through the 2014 world cup qualifying (probably old news to soccer fans but it was a fantastic watch).

now TB Rowdies coach thomas rongen was the only person to apply for a USSF posting to help coach them through qualifying, where they won their first ever wc qualifier. don't normally care much for sports documentaries (or sports films in general) but this one was good.
