I was just at this site on Sunday night walking around. I like it a lot. It is in South Central but that immediate area has the Coliseum right next door as you can see. It has the LA Museum of Natural History right behind it and USC right there too. People will make the usual jokes about the hood, but the location is 20x better than Carson. I think Chivas would have done much better if they did this, there is a sizeable Mexican-American community in this area, not so much in Carson.

I also spent a good amount of time with an MLS insider from Portland on Monday. The only real scoop he had was this stadium, I talked to him before the announcement, and his confirmation that Caleb Porter is in fact a dickhead. Also that Caleb Porter/oscar Arena gif is real, not shopped, and the only reason there are no quotes about it is the Portland media didn't ask.
