saturday might be the maddest i've been leaving the stadium in all my years.  the team is lifeless, the atmosphere is dead.  peter talked big after the game but there are no pieces to turn to on the bench.  peter has got to go.

not sure why i keep going to these games, crowd was pretty good last night for a last place team on a weeknight.  not sure who i would even want to keep on this team, thommy, davis, maybe walter.  salloi can go, russell is washed, pulido's contract sucks for what we get.  afrifa and vargas looked ok in the first 20 minutes, vargas had a few good balls in, but then they looked gassed quickly.  i don't know, we're a long ways off from being good, they need to overhaul everything.

Agree.  Wednesday's game was particularly bad.  I was impressed with Afrifa.  He's been fast but that was as much control as I've seen him with the ball. We were down two goals in the second half and could barely muster two shots.  Jake Davis has stopped going into the final third of the field.  Without Thommy out there, there is no intensity.

then i get the email that they are moving season ticket renewals up to june this year, and sent out a brief survey.  very bold.  sucks because i have great seats i don't want to lose, but if nothing changes i'll be pissed that i had to give them more money for next season not even halfway thru this season.

I was in the brewhouse and stuck it out.  My wife ubered home during the delay.  I was more impressed with some of Melia's saves as I moved closer to the goal.

I've been on the fence about him this season.  Watching him take a couple one-on-ones in the USOC game moved me more on the believer side.  The defense has been so awful I have a hard time evaluating him.  Really, Thommy and Agada are the only two I would miss.  I would be sad Melia, Johnny, Vermes and Salloi go but also don't know that they're offering enough going forward.

Afrifa was impressive again last night.  He is now a piece along with Thommy and Agada that I want to stick around.  After missing what should've been a gimmie goal (that he worked hard to make a gimmie), he almost immediately puts a dime of a cross through to Agada for the goal.  Per Vermes, he was probably the best player in the preseason/camp.  He's showing some of that now.

It was also good to see Ndenbe back with the squad.  We've been better as of late but could certainly use more competent defending.

Yes Afrifa was great.  Our starting 3 of Salloi/Pulido/Russell should all be shelfed at this point, maybe Russell/Agada/Afrifa given our lack of suitable backups.  The Pulido resigning looks dumber by the day.  These header goals that Agada is coming up with Pulido doesn't come close on any of them.  I also want Jake Davis around and probably Pulskamp as Melia picked up another knock Sunday, he's 38, this has got to be it for him.

was proud of the boys last night, fought tough, and really could have been 1-0 us after regulation.  i would like to see an actual angle that VAR used to determine LAFC's first goal was onside.

I agree that they played hard.  I also think that it shows how much of an overhaul to the roster is needed.  Call me crazy, but we should start our leading scorer in the championship game.  It also seemed like Peter played Afrifa until he started playing well and then went away from him.

if you would have told me going into the season that we would play in the open cup final and our starting back 6 defenders would be Davis, Bassong, Khiry, Castellanos, Voloder, and Ndenbe, i would have laughed you off the internet.  The fact they only got 1 goal that i still don't think should have stood, is amazing.

Having said that, there needs to be a big roster overhaul, and had all mls teams been in the open cup, we probably don't make the final.  and that's part of the problem because i think it could give ownership a false sense of where this team is (hope i'm wrong there).

Voloder was embarrassing last night, absolutely terrible. He got knocked down like he was a toddler on the game winning goal. You can't have your center back getting bullied by a 5'7" striker.
