Hey runners!  How did 2019 go?  Meet all your goals?  What’s the plan for next year?  Races, total distance?  Let’s hear it.

It costs $159 for someone to come to your house and take away your treadmill

Sciatic nerve issues. Haven't ran at all since summer. Bourbon and weight lifting.

I sold mine for $5 at my wife's garage sale. Pretty good considering it only kinda sorta worked.

Mine lost power so it was just a gigantic piece of trash. Used this online service and some dude with a pickup showed up and hauled it off the same day. Pretty elite efficiency.

I just got the cancellation notice for another race.   The first was just a spring warmup in Moab so not a huge loss.  This latest cancellation was my big race for the year.  It’s late July so I was hoping there was still a chance.  We have a 9 day family vacation booked around this race that included several days in Banff.  This sucks.  Running motivation is going to drop hard.   :Crybaby:

Sorry man.  I'm looking at the KC Marathon but they're trying to make it clear that they aren't going to refund if it cancels, just do the virtual/move registration to next year.  I'm not real excited about those two options so am waiting until there is more clarity.

I can get onboard with deferral at no charge but they can stick virtual up their collective asses.

Missoula is supposed to have one of the best marathons (late June) and they are making a decision on it May 7.  I'm keeping an eye on that although I'd have to ramp training up a little quicker than I'd like.

I did the virtual for my first race.  It was in March right as everything was quickly shutting down so they had to cancel on short notice.  Under the circumstances, the virtual was fine for me.  I can go to Moab whenever and it was only going to be a partial refund anyway.  Might as well get the hat and stuff.

Would definitely not be okay with virtual for the July race.  I took the deferral to next year.

Did any of you townie runners Konquer the Konza last weekend?  I went out there to run Sunday morning before leaving town and had no idea a race was happening.  Wish I had signed up.

Here’s my routine.  Not recommended.

Sign up for a stupid race in a fun place
Run a bunch until I get sick of it a few weeks before race
Question why I would do this mid-race
Start dreaming about the next one and repeat

Excessive amounts of Step 3 yesterday.  Pics coming to Vision Quest thread.  Ready for Step 4!!

That's incredible. I ran on a trail yesterday for the first time in two years. So, it's sort of inspirational for me. Looking forward to the pics!

Yeah, that's amazing.  I'd be making a huge deal out of bicycling that length with a battery powered bike.  I gained like 30 pounds over covid (don't watch great brittish baking show if you have anxiety).  I started running again a few months ago and am down 20 pounds, but it's been slow going.  I'm feeling my age for sure.  This next 10 pounds is going to be twice as hard as the last 20. Ugh.
