I thought they were sort of pvssy.  Throwing snowballs at the cars because they wouldn't get any thrown at them.  No much of a fight (or may UofO students are confused as to what a "snowball fight" is). 

Also, this is why the elimination of gun-free zones and concealed carry would create a more interesting world.  When the jacka$$es started hitting him when he got out of the car (especially the one in the face around the 1 minutes mark) , it would have been very interesting if there was a risk that geezer whipped out a pistol and capped a few of the kids.

Pretty sure those students were impeding the drivers ability to safely operate the vehicle, also endangering the driver and others. Self defense against a rioting group of criminals.
