also Snowden didn't do anything that important.  if you've paid attention you would have known the government has been doing this for decades.

Well, I wouldn't call him a Hero like the OP but he's certainly not a traitor and shouldn't be forced to live in exile.

Well he isn't really living in exile.  All he has to do is comeback from authoritarian police states to face a legitimate justice system.

He brought a pretty big thing to public view.  Hero.

Already well into the public view, people just started to care for 30 seconds.  Where are we now?  Oh yeah, nothing has really changed.
