When I was a kid I went to many frigid games at arrowhead, and my uncle always brought a piece of cardboard for everyone in our group to stand on, the theory being that it insulated you from the cold of the concrete on your feet. No idea if it works.

There's a good chance that I wake up pretty drunk on saturday morning, so a 375 of hot damn or canadian whiskey should keep me pretty warm.

Also, crew neck/patagonia combo works wonders.

There's a good chance I'll be mocking the crows on my walk to the Holiday Inn early Saturday morning.  "Caw!  Caw!"

If I don't go to bed at night, I certainly will at around 10 am

yeah, that 1/8" of paper really makes a difference compared to that 1/2" of rubber and foam.

Yeah, the engineering dept of the KSU Cats did a study that debunked this practice about 12 years ago.

How many Truman Scholarships were awarded as a result of this study?

If your feet get cold, rub some in your nose.  You won't be worrying about your feet any more.

Placebo effect, tho.  Boom, roasted (like feet on cardboard).

ECWS mil-spec long underwear.  For those of you with LLUIQ, ECWS = Extreme Cold Weather System.  Turtleneck and jeans over those, fleece vest over that, then a jean jacket.  Microfleece cap, wool gloves, Cabela's Gore-Tex boots.  I'm gonna be warm.
