Having a chance to play in front of a stadium full of purple for only the second time ever has to be amazingly exciting for the TCU players & fans alike.

Don't let these ignoramuses give you a hard time.  Dlew will have you sittin' pretty by the end of this post.

One word: Kite's.

Kite's is a great little spot in the little apple and their steak is absolutely top notch.  It was voted number college sports bar in the country, so it comes with a great pedigree.  But don't be fooled into thinking that this place is just a wild and crazy night spot (although it is home to Kansas's only light up dance floor, but that vibe begins after 10 or so).  During the day, the food is unrivaled.  Anytime my parents would come to town when I was still in school there, we'd always hit up Kite's.

My dad is a big time cattle rancher out in West Central Kansas, and according to him, the cuts Kite's uses for there steak are absolutely top notch.  The first time we ate there, he told me "I can't believe this place is located in Manhattan and not in a more populated area like Kansas City, St. Louis or even Chicago."  He said he thinks it's the best kept secret in the entire midwest.

Gonna have to agree with Dlew here.

All of there meat is top notch, you might as well swing back by after the game and grab a burger.

I mean, if you go to Kites and pass on the burger, then that's on you.  I am not going to disagree with anything DLew says, but that burger....man!

If you're foolish enough to pass up the burger at Kite's, there's also this place.

It's good to have 2 of the 11 TCU fans who are going to attend the game posting on gEMAW.

Welcome, and be sure to say hello to the other 9 for us.

Maybe he should have asked: "what is the best restaurant in Manhattan that doesn't serve fish sticks?"

I had to crap mid breakfast once at Bob's and when I came back and finished eating the food actually tasted batter!  Very therapeutic feast.

Saw a nice tv piece on a local diner where he was talking to locals.  Looked like a scene out of Pleasantville, you know, a good place for Christians.

You're probably talking about the piece last year from the chef diner, but Snyder wasn't there.  Just a bunch of old, racist tucks talking about how awesome he is...  So yeah, you're probably right.

Gopowercat's.  On Moro. Next to Tubby's.  Best roast beef sandwiches and pickles in town.
