Yes. Rhoads' previous teams have been at least decent defensively. This is his worst defense and offense.

The raw stats have Iowa State giving up 2.7 points per possession this year on defense. Once adjusted for opponent, they give up 2.4, still by far the worst in the Big 12. We should have little trouble scoring.

Also, Iowa State (as well as KU and TCU) doesn't have an offense that generates big plays. This link breaks down big plays from each offense in the conference and those 3 teams are by far the worst offenses at generating big plays. All three have also given up their fair share of big plays. Our defense has been surprisingly good at not giving up big plays, despite playing several of the offenses that create the most big plays.

Even with our issues, there really is no reason why this team shouldn't beat ISU, TCU, and KU.
