Guys, we've spent a lot of blog posts recently arguing about the things that make us different. Our wing preference, how to make a PBJ, our undies, WC08 stuff, the Offspring, Walking Dead, Wiggins/Timhawk, and countless other topics are tearing us apart. Perhaps we need a thread about what brings us together, what unites us, and what being #1cat is all about.

So I'll ask, what is #1cat to you?

back when i started the #1Cat movement it was all about mentoring young cats, it was also about teaching them that bullying is wrong. obviously it's expanded way beyond that and into something much larger than just this website. kudos to everyone who contributes to the #1Cat movement.

He's there showing the guys that can't get the girls, the guys that have fun without constantly worrying about what society thinks about them, the guys that don't go out partying and sexing it up with every girl they meet, that we can accomplish something incredible.

He's a tribute to the guys who drive around the mall parking lot with the windows down blaring out Crocodile Rock, beat bumping, and singing at the top of their lungs. (true story)

To me, #1Cat is just a symbol for all of us cats fans teaming together for great causes like FattyFest, PCKK7DC, #Life, #Gottlieb4KSU and the Lazy River Expansion Project.

He is not, but should be. I know he was at one time but clams has a pretty unorthodox (read revolutionary) method of mentoring and the squares at MHS just weren't up to letting him do what he does best.

i'm working on merging a couple of mentoring styles from the east (read: orient) which i read about online. they are also a bit unorthodox when compared to the traditional western method of mentoring but sometimes the odd duck floats in a current of liquid methodology.

plus don't you have to graduate first to be an MHS mentor? clearly PC is a positive influential student, but i think i remember one of the requirements to becomes an official MHS "mentor" to include "High School Graduate."

i'm sure next year, when he's a fraternity stud, he'll be a regular mentor over at MHS (that is if he's not too busy being hazed).
