Could a single SUK player walk-on for KU this year?

Souhtwell might be able to find a spot at the end of the bench, but there's no way KU would put him on scholarship.

Probs redshirt him for when half the team leaves after this season.   :dunno:

Probably not since none of them are related to the coaching staff.

It's going to be a real letdown when this overhyped KU team trips over themselves in March, like they always do. Then they'll run Wiggins out of town like Selby. :frown: But at least they had that preseason SI cover. :D

Wrong, as usual:

http://collegespun.com/acc/syracuse/the-25-most-successful-college-basketball-teams-of-the-21st-century-scored-by-ncaa-tournament-bracket-rules#

Quote
We decided to start a project, using just NCAA Tournament data, with the goal of determining the most successful college basketball programs in the 21st century. In honor of the recent completion of the 2013 NCAA Tournament, we decided to score each school based on how most bracket pools are tabulated:

Round of 64 loss = 0 points
Round of 32 loss = 1 point
Sweet 16 loss = 2 points
Elite Eight loss = 4 points
Final Four loss = 8 points
Championship Game loss = 12 points
National Champions = 16 points

So theoretically, if you are the type of person who picks the same team to win the NCAA Tournament every year, you might want to take a look at No. 1 on this list – because that team has (since 2000) statistically performed better than any other over time.

-----

1. Kansas

I’ll admit, I was even surprised. UNC, Duke, Florida and UConn have all won more championships this century than Kansas, so how could the Jayhawks come out on top? Consistency. Kansas has reached four Final Fours, winning the 2008 national title and finishing as the runner up in both 2003 and 2012. The Jayhawks also have three more Elite Eight appearances, making it seven years in which they’ve won at least three games. Like Duke, there are only two years (2005 & 2006) in which they didn’t win an NCAA Tournament game. When all the numbers were tallied, it was clear that Kansas is the team that has performed (statistically) the best in NCAA games this century. Rock Chalk.

I don't check this board often anymore. Did that rumor about Potuzak getting a scholarship end up having legs?

Guys, KU is going to look all disjointed in non-con, but Bill is going to have them 50 balling everyone by mid December.

Grats, Beems.  This is going to be a fun year for you guys.

I'm not following the rationale of trying to stick it to gE by mocking the K-State hoops program.

Exactly.  If there's one thing gE does best, it's getting ahead of the game and establishing the narrative early.  See also the Wiggins thread.

I'd mock the K-State football program too, but the 60+ page, butthurt-infested KU football thread is already embarrassing enough as it is.

If you don't want there to be a 60-page thread about lol ku football things, get with Zulu and tim about stopping lol ku football things.

Yeah, I don't get how fans think they should keep their outrage to themselves.  It's the fans' job to be irrationally demanding.  It's the AD's job to decide whether he should ride with his current guy or grab a new one.

KU'ers should be burning down that shitty football stadium with the goals of getting a better product and then using the insurance money to build a better stadium.

Zulu should be assessing the outrage and deciding if crap is about to get real or not.

Supporting losing programs without tangible signs of progress isn't being a fan, it's being Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

KU fans are irrationally demanding with the football program.  We wanted Mangino fired after going 5-7 in '09.  We wanted Gill fired after two seasons.  Every KU fan I know hates Weis (except for maybe 10% of the tucks).  No one is content with the last few years.  Are K-State fans content with 2-4 (0-3)?

It's good to know that total apathy has set in for SUK hoops, though.  When the going gets tough, goEMAW disappears.

We won the conf last year and lost a bunch.  No one is content, but we have an understanding of why we are what we are except with the QB issue and if you read, you know that we are quite upset about that.

So you're content with 2-4 (0-3), then?
