good to hear that his voice had dropped several octaves.  he now speaks like a subwoofer compared to his frosh year.  you know the ladies love listening to the Subwoofer chat them up at aggie station on the weekends.

can we start referring to will as "the subwoofer"? judges?

So, I really think that Will is going to be a more effective player at PG than SG. He's never been a guy who could come off screens and shoot, for whatever rough ridin' reason that may be, I really don't know. Playing point will allow him to shoot off the dribble a little more in our offense, for whatever reason he seems to be able to do that adequately. Also, Will is just terrible off the ball. He has bird legs and so he gets pushed around, combined with below average foot speed it resulted in an absolute inability to get open...like ever. As long as he can bring the ball up and get the ball to our scorers without turning it over and sink a couple threes off the bounce, then I think we will get more value out of him at the point. Obviously he is still going to be a stunning downgrade from Angel, but I'm trying to look for a silver lining here.

sad we have to assume he can get the ball across half court line

Let me get this straight, you think it is easier to get open when you bring the ball up than it is when you have to without the ball?  You think his bird legs and his slow feet were a problem off the ball but will be better when our entire offense runs through those slow bird legs?

I think it's more suited to his skill set. I'm not really saying that he will be a good PG, but I am saying that he was a terrible SG. He's a pretty tall kid, and it seems that if there is an armlength between him and his defender then he can let loose a three off the dribble. That also seems to have been his best offense since he got to K-State, and also the shot he has taken the least. I could see him doing that more with the ball being in his hands up top more.

Any team that has any decent guard speed on d will shut down Will completely if that is his only chance to be better than the last two yrs.

He is far better shooting off the dribble then catching and shooting.

I am going to have to be so drunk to watch any of our games.

Will Spradling Drinking Game:

Will is "playing injured": Finish a drink prior to game starting
Turns the ball over: 1 drink
Turns the ball over before passing half court: 2 drinks
Throws the ball out of bounds: 2 drinks
Announcer talks about his effort, leadership, or heart: 1 drink
Will slaps the floor on D: Finish your drink

A slight reorganization of that and it could become a season long depressing game of Bingo.

OMG

Even if you intentionally avoid the obvious ones, you can't make a non great Spradling photo homage.
