While I do believe everyone is overreacting a bit over one game...
Just kidding. We got beat by the weakest Texas team in years. Mack's already out the door and Diaz got fired and we still couldn't do jack against their shitty D.
We've lost to a FCS team at home.
We got smoked by Oregon, smoked by Baylor and lost the Heisman because of it.
We haven't won a bowl game since the win over Arizona State in the Holiday Bowl a million years ago.
What we're seeing is a repeat of the 2004-ish era where Bill lost his way. And he's doing it again.
Bill's a great coach to cut out mistakes and get walk-ons to overachieve. But he's not good for big games, for recruiting actual talent deep enough to where the loss of someone like Zimmerman isn't enough to have you tank at Baylor, or making rational decisions on playing to the talent you have. Sams and Waters aren't the first time we've seen Bill completely eff up an offense based on what he wants to do despite what we can do. But hey, while we're losing the rest of the season at least we have intrinsic values or something. Moral victory there.
