Would it be enough?
« on: September 19, 2013, 11:40:54 PM »
I understand every good cat fan is always excited for a season of watching the cats on the grid iron, but i don't think i'm too far off my mark to say that theres a certain amount of anxiety associated with this season's trip through cardiac lane.

Coming off a season that culminated our hopes and dreams, we're comfortable with a bit of a rebuilding year (shitshow)  But i ask you, dear catsfans, what if this was a year sustained?

What if rather than a season of rationalizing expectations, this was a season to throw caution to the wind?

Could a win over a texas team give you the spark need yet to dream?

Dare you to dream, oh my brethren?

Go Cats tho. We all agree (besides like beems (i dunno, maybe Beems will TSC like a bro on Saturday?) timsquawk, spracne, and other guys. Does Haverhill root cats on non ISU vs. KSU days? Maybe?) on rooting for the cats.

I'd personally be pretty excited. plus, if our guy daniel takes the majority of snaps and leads us to victory I'm pretty sure we can just put an * by the D2 loss.

Sometimes you've got to get worse before you get better.

I'm sure that Bill never imagined every 14th pass from Jake would be a pick. He was probably hoping for 1 out of every 23rd or something.

Lots of folks forget that NDSU are the division 2 champs that really took it to 4-8 Colorado State last year.

they also recently eeked out a 6-3 victory over KU who is apparently now our equal.

Guys, 7-3 vs FBS teams in the last 10 years. Lots of good teams haven't won 70% of their games vs FBS teams in the last 10 years. LOTS.

I think you have to look at the seven FBS teams they beat and then 7-3 doesn't look so impressive.

70% is 70%. (almost as good as Daniel's completion percentage)

after seeing what the rest of this conference looks like @OSU is really the only game I will accept a moral victory.  I guess if Bell is actually a real QB and OU is great I would add it to the list but I am not willing to say that yet.

@TT is game that will be tough, especially if we start Waters and end up in the kind hole we can't dig out of.  8-4* sounds about right to me and I predict it sends us to the BWW bowl instead of the Alamo we would of got at 9-3  :curse:

It actually kinda feels good that I don't have to go to some big time bowl game this year.  Might actually get back to the Bahamas to stab hooks in fish faces.

I think this is a season, as Cat fans, we become more comfortable with our core misery. Which is a form of happiness.

rough ridin' ESPN is sure whopping it up.  Every rough ridin' time they promote Game Day they mention that NDSU beat the reining Big XII champs, K-State.  They rough ridin' hate us; why else would they have Game Day at NDSU, but to rough ridin' rub it in what a peace of crap K-State is.  :th_twocents:

I expect to rough up Texas tomorrow and anything less will be really frustrating.

There is a lot of talent on this team but much of it is raw and needs refining (particularly on defense and QB).

If we give Texas the whooping that they deserve, I believe that we are getting to the Cotton Bowl.

If we win by less than 14, than the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl sounds more accurate.

If we lose,  NO BOWL and MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON OUR SEASON (except for Lawrence, we are still winning that no matter what).

If we beat Texas and OSU, we are getting a least a share of the Title.
