I legit need to find out if that move where the offensive lineman hooks a player around the upper chest/neck with one arm, is legal. It happens so much, always right in front of the QB and is never called. Maybe it isn't holding? I've never played offensive line.

is it kind of like this look? trying to brush up on my eye for holding, because i want to be more accurate when i yell it out. so far nobody's called me out though, and i'm straight up guessing.

hint to doing this - sometimes call it out on your own team too. that way you seem unbiased and it raises your fbiq.

i feel like i've seen that called a hold. that's why i noticed it in realtime and got excited because i thought i finally caught a hold with my own eyes. now i don't even know what a hold is anymore again.

i kind of always thought players had to be facing the person they're blocking. and also not grab their jersey.

See the key is you gotta look over at the person closest to you, give them a wry smile and say “think we probably got away with a hold there”
