Author Topic: Diagnoses necessary (Read 3949 times)

I woke up with a "crick" in my neck 2 weeks ago. Then I started getting a really bad sharp/burning pain in upper back/neck between the shoulder blades. Then I have sharp shooting pains down my arm that feel like an electric shock or something. It hurts the most when I turn my head side to side. Thought maybe pinched nerve. Wife said to go to the chiropractor but I think they are scam artists. I also think normal doctors are scam artists. How can I heal myself? Serious answers only please.

Asking which arm is useless without asking more information.

Does it reproduce the radiation symptoms when you tilt your head right or left? or both? what about flexing or extending? Is their pain in your neck? where?

More importantly, any other symptoms that are out of the ordinary lately? Fatigue? Sweating? Edema?

This is very very shotty with trying to do it over the web. Someone needs to be able to touch and do tests to find the true cause. Regardless of your confidence in doctors, you should see one if it's bothering you. Judging from your symptoms, I'd recommend a chiropractor.

There's no evidence that any beneficial effect would occur.

alternate ice and ben gay every 5 minutes for 3-4 hours. don't use ice packs if you want to heal quickly. apply huge chunks of ice directly to the base of the neck.
