I want to be in the stands chanting S-E-C S-E-C throughout the entire 4th quarter when we have the backups in.
will we be able to get out of the Auburn game? do we even want to? i'd rather lose to them than an FCS team.

We should play the game. Things set up well for us. Well have a returning starter at qb and quite a few starters back in the oline and on defense. I can't imagine auburn will be all that good year two is often the hardest for a new coach. Plus we already did the hard part by playing them down there. I don't like the idea of two buy weeks before the game though that is just dumb. We should schedule a game the week after Stephan f Austin and then have two weeks to prepare for auburn.
2014 Football Schedule UpdateEarlier this week, the Big 12 Conference announced the league portion of the 2014 football schedule, and I want to take a few moments to update you on our full schedule. As you know, we have been looking for a third non-conference game to replace UTSA. After several weeks of thorough research and many phone calls around the country, we have secured a FBS opponent for our third non-conference home game! It was very important to us to find a home game as 2014 will be a year in which we play five league road games. In the next week or so be on the lookout for a full schedule release as we work to finalize the complete slate. In the meantime, click here to view the full conference-only schedule for all Big 12 teams. We are excited to host Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Texas and KU in 2014!
Nevermind, Fan posted it in the UTSA thread (though, why would you put it in that thread, that's not really about the 2014 schedule as a whole, is it? I guess that's just how Fan was raised. smh)
Although no official release has been sent by K-State Athletics, athletics director John Currie announced some details for the 2014 football schedule on the "Wildcat Insider" radio program earlier this afternoon:-- K-State will host the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) on September 27, 2014.-- The Auburn game, which has been slated for Saturday, Sept. 20, is being considered to move to Thursday, Sept. 18.-- K-State officials are in talks of shuffling the Big 12 Conference schedule to have the Wildcats play a league game on Saturday, Sept. 6. We at GPC believe it will likely be Iowa State.-- Finally, Saturday, Sept. 13 will remain as an open date and serve as a "bye" for next year's schedule.

The moving of the ISU game is a fantastic idea. Will still be warm hot up there, and get that boring game out of the way.
