They're the ones making the return trip, hold them to it. Auburn isn't going to be elite unless they buy another Heisman winner, it's fun to play non-con games against teams that aren't North Central Who Gives A crap State and it's an early springboard for the 2014 KSU QB Heisman campaign.

Looking through the 2014 schedules, 40% of the Big 12 teams play an SEC team and I'd like to see EMAW do its part to help the league's perception.

Plus, I have a lot of relatives who are Auburn fans. I want them to walk their ass into Manhattan, KS and see their team get stomped by the 2014 Big 12 champions.

Maybe, and I am just brainstorming here so hear me out, but maybe we take the schedule as is, use those two weeks the way we normally use our bowl practice time, then actually use the bowl practice time to practice toward the bowl and we just win the NC that year? I think I could be ok with that.

bill has always seen the benefit in beating bad "name" teams. see cal, iowa, usc, miami, etc. he bought out of oregon because he knew we'd lose, didn't buy out of miami because he thought he could win. we'll play auburn.

Oregon was also going to be a neutral site game, this is a home game. Taking any buyout Auburn would offer isn't relevant because it would then have to be used for guarantee money for a FCS or directional school. Keep the game and jack up ticket prices to maximize revenue as was done with Miami last year

Gee folks, we're not going to give away a gold mine. LHCBS/Currie aren't that stupid. We spent a pretty penny to play them and we need to get that back. Games like this are great for the Cats and Manhattan; and that's what Bill wants.
