goEMAW is George Zimmerman, and KU football is Trayvon Martin, except in this case, Zimmerman shot Martin 145+ times and crapped on his dead body repeatedly.

Beems,I think you need to take a more cautious approach to KU athletics in the future. Instead of jumping on every single bandwagon there is to jump on every time ku does something.Re: Gill, Weis, Perkins, Monsters etc.

As for Perkins, he would unquestionably be the most successful athletic director in K-State history, and he helped propel the KU basketball program to where it is now. K-State would name the university after Perkins if he had helped the school win its first ever national championship and BCS Bowl.
KU is right on par with Notre Dame ... when it comes to adding additional conference revenue
Beer pro tip: never drink anything other than BL, coors, pbr, maybe a few others that I'm forgetting

The only person I see getting more mean spirited is beems as evidenced by his constant vitriolic obsession with us on phog.net. Seems like everyone here feels the same in regards to KU.

I will tell you another factor. I buy the story that there is a handshake agreement between Snyder and KSU that he does not coach past 75. That means KSU will be hiring a year from now. No way KU lets a new KSU coach get a jump on us next year if we do not make a Bowl.
Oh man! A coaching search off btwn Titletown and At Least Paint It If You Won't Renovate It.I can not imagine a more entertaining offseason.
Giant Stuffed Jayhawk Any ideas where I can find a huge stuffed Jayhawk? I've looked in the usual places and can't seem to find one. If you know a local store that sells them, that would be great. Have to get the 2-year old set up for success - wife's mother buying him too many Alabama elephants. Need to fight back.

I think KU already just signed up their new coach…Reagen. I think the wheels are in motion to transition Charlie to a different role. Can't think of a "football reason" Reagan would come to KU and leave a great deal at Rice if there wasn't something more to it. It is a lateral move. I read his family is in Lawrence so there is a personal reason to be there.I think Charlie knows he can help the KU program more by being somewhat of a figurehead and a talent recruiter and he will focus more of his time in that area as well as raising money for a new stadium. And if he finds a new gig , so be it.I think in a way it is a new paradigm for college coaching to have a strong "sales" component as part of the team and an X's and O's component for the football program if you have the personalities that will allow it to happen. There is just way too much money involved in college football to rely on the same old business model that has existed for the past 100 years
