I'll take it if they are willing to trade a Big 12 basketball title in 2014 for a win next weekend. I think that is fair.

Holgorson is going to lose his job

No way. He's signed through '17. We're stuck.

I cannot believe Millard has a DI schollie

Even worse, he's infinitely better than Clint Trickett.

Does Holgorson at least have a QB recruit who looks like he might be pretty good in this year's class?

Welp, the bandwagon fans are back on board. I feel sorry for the RCJH diehards who have to put up with the bball only fans.

On a different note. Does anybody else think it would be cool to have a whistle that goes off to celebrate touchdowns and such? (like the one that signals the end of class). Maybe it's a dumb idea but I think it would be a fairly simple thing that could improve the gameday experience and be more unique than a cannon or something.

Some of them are wearing some heavy duty crimson and blue sunglasses.  If money was never an issue (Phog endowment talking point) for the University, why do they not have a state-of-the-art stadium now?  For their sake, I hope that one dude is right about announcement after bball season.  If they don't get one soon, meltdowns will be epic.

Do they not understand that the Athletic Department and school work off out of different buckets?

Yeah, keep fooling yourselves into thinking we actually have a football program. If all of our remaining opponents suddenly came down with malaria and we (somehow) won out, we would still be the same school who the rest of the conference pencils in pre-season as a W for them.

"Geez if we can just beat ISU, then maybe we could beat the Hayseeds, and then that would give us momentum going into next year, and then we could get a few non-con wins, and then we could get another league win because we beat WVU, and then...."

Since I know they're lurking and humorless psycho/sociopath Dr. J has accused every K-State fan over there of being my sock, and also since they've managed to conjure up some weird conspiracy while co-mingling endowment with capital project giving per usual.

Here's (below) where you can find the latest as to what ku is telling the KBOR about their stadium renovations.   As I've said 50 times before, this is all subject to change, and since some of them don't get it, these lists always include recently completed projects (possibly because contractors have not closed out some punch list items).   The KBOR reviews/revises/amends their capital projects master lists multiple times throughout the year.   Schools can ask the KBOR to amend the capital projects list as long as they get it on the agenda at any KBOR meeting.    Also, if projects are going to spread out over multiple years, than the estimated costs of the project are usually spread out over multiple years, not a construction expert but from what I do know, most contractors want a progressive payment schedule.

And yes, this is exactly how gov't entities operate, if I'm not mistaken there's at least 1 if not several legislative committees and possibly the full legislature that have to bless these projects as well.   Typically a rubber stamp, if it has to happen.   Yes, sometimes even if all private funds are used, they're building on state property and when the project is done ku athletics (like K-State athletics) will have to transfer the building over to the State of Kansas.   So, you just don't get to show up one day and start building whatever on state property.   There's a process.

:tsc love to one and all, even humorless psycho/sociopath Dr. J and the other merry band of perpetually angry ku fans who are sometimes in residence on this board.

https://kansasregents.org/resources/PDF/2692-AgendaNov20-21,2013Finalreader.pdf

If they're nice, I'll show them some other cool stuff, that will help answer some questions, so they don't have to conjure up anymore idiotic conspiracies.

So based on Dax's linked document, this looks like KU's schedule...

Memorial Stadium Improvements Phase 1: $50,000,000 (2017-2019)
2017: $5,000,000
2018: $25,000,000
2019: $20,000,000

I think I'm reading this right...

I love how dax and dr j carry out arguments with each other without ever leaving their home board.

Dax on gE- Looks like it wont be till 2017

Dr. J on the phog- Dax is spewing trash out of his mouth on gE, is an idiot

Dax on gE- Hawk fans on the Phog don't know how to find any information

Dr. on the phog- Plans are being presented during bball season when people are in a better mood

Dax on gE- Interesting if true, last KBOR update doesn't show it though

If that sched is right, that basically means that design and pre-construction type stuff is what is going to take place in 2017.

Also, I am assuming that the cost to replace the goal post is going to push all of this back a year.
