I could swear we have lost more than 24 conference games in a row. Maybe not?

OK, here's the deal.  KSU's longest conference losing streak was 23 games from 1949-1952, so KU just broke our record.  But we did have a 22 game conference losing streak from 1944-1948, so that was obviously a shitty time to be a KSU football fan because there was only one conference win separating those two streaks. 

The 1986-1990 streak was a 27 game non-winning steak because we had the Toilet Bowl Tie with KU in 1987.  We lost 9 straight before that and 17 straight after that.

But the fans and the boosters are the ones forcing the rehires. When KU does not deliver then they cannot find any good coaches to replace who we just fired. We pay a lot but we cannot support the unrealistic expectations of the fans or the stigma of coaching at KU. Firing Mangino was the biggest mistake this university has made in football. If he warily the head coach, KU would be a serviceable Big 12 team and would be going bowling on a regular basis. Now, we are the K state of the 2010's.

There are a lot of people that probably believe him, and that's a good thing if you hate KU.
