All the talk of challenging for the B12 title and maybe even getting a CFP berth-- it was all a mirage. Little did we know that we hired an OC who had been fired by Baylor for good reason and who is totally incapable of taking KU OR ANY TEAM to those kind of heights on the offensive side of the ball.

Grimes needs to be dismissed on the bus ride home.  If they flyin' back to Lawrence from that shitstorm, they wastin' $$$, charge 'em with fraud.

Any 6th grade level coach would have run the ball down Illinois throat and worn out their D-Line to put the game away. We have the deepest and most talented RB room in the conference and the numbskull OC keeps PASSING???

I know it will be an unpopular opinion but LL may need to open up the QB position for competition. I hate when teams play 2 QB's but if JD is going to struggle at least give Ballard and/or Marshall a series here and there to show what they can do.

They have an optimist:

If KU as expected beats UNLV, West Va., TCU, Arizona State and Houston, it'll be 6-1 going into the KSU game. A win there and the magical season can still happen. Now if 'somehow' UNLV or WVU beat KU, yes, it might turn into just a bowl season not a special season.

And a pessimist:

If anyone wants to make a run at Lance this year, barring a miracle from this point forward, I think he might listen to the offers. The stadium could remain half completed for the foreseeable future. One game does not make a season, but we showed weakness last night and shockingly it appears to all be on the offensive side of the ball. Bummer.

looking ahead, the MoKan Rayhawks have a very favorable schedule with the exception of the trip to MHK for a “rivalry” game in which they have not won in 16 years.  this 16 year winning streak is the longest streak held by either opponent in any of the sports that they compete against each other in.
