We're all of the belief that @jayhawktakeover is a parody account, right?
It has to be Dlew.  Has to be.
i was digging back through the last couple of pages to check the KU Coach Life Cycle Chart, and saw this.  It's funny - i have like 8 twitter accounts, but none are JHTO.  It is a running joke among my friends that I'm JHTO though, so it's funny that funmuffin also brought that up.

Anyways, I think we're about to Phase 2 -- everyone always wants to give the new guy enough time.  Phase 3 is when the clock really starts running.

i can't decide which phase of the KU Football Circle of Life is my favorite.  Whether it's over the course of three years or four years, the following cycle plays over and over:

Phase 1: Alright boys, new coach!  Not the most inspiring hire, but at least we've got a guy who knows football. let's give him a ton of time.  He should be a great recruiter, and anyone is better than that last clown.

Phase 2: Tough season, but it's obvious we're moving in the right direction.  And none of this is unexpected given the shithole the last coach left us in. Let's be patient.

Phase 3:  Horrible season.  I still think this coach is the guy, but if we don't start seeing results next year I think we need to let him go.

Phase 4:  Fire this idiot.  Why is he recruiting so many jucos?  Our football team is an embarrassment.  Anyone would be better than this clown.

KU program could be on an upward trajectory at the same time K-State program is on a downward trajectory.

And if so, don't worry. It's not like I've been taking notes, keeping names, etc. during the long winter.

If there’s such a thing as a good 12 point loss at home to fall to 1-6, this was one.

Forward progress not completely stopped, and you can have multiple handoffs behind the line of scrimmage.

That was not a fumble.   Even some of the experts are getting it wrong.

Remember a few years ago when our squawks took Baylor to overtime and I think that was when Baylor was good. This is even more impressive!

I've been strutting around town following this moral victory. Several people have asked me if I'm pregnant, because I'm glowing.

If our hawks lose a close game to a really good team should they storm the field? I say h*ck yes!

Did not see the end of the game but I stand by this comment. Would have 100% supported a moral victory field storming

It’s going to be nauseating if they finally beat us again some day. I hope I’m there in person to really experience it. I was at the 2004 game. It was truly a sight to behold. A very surreal experience. Quite bizarre.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I don't know what triggered this statistic in my head, but KU has not won a conference road game since October 4th, 2008 when they came back from a 20 point halftime deficit to beat Iowa State 35-33. That's now over 13 years, and 6 head coaches (7 if you count interim) ago!!!! Here's what that recap looks like:

Mark Mangino era

2008

at No. 4 Oklahoma, 45-31

at Nebraska, 45-35

2009

at Colorado, 34-30

That's 0-55 in conference on the road over more than 13 years

6 different coaches, and all their support staff, when given 55 tries, still could not find a way to get our fighting jayhawks a victory.

I honestly don't have any words to describe that...

... futility, perhaps?

Well, you're just scrounging for stats to hate on them while the SEC and B10 fight to bring them in.

Also, losing streaks do not carry over from year to year (as many K-State fans pointed out w/ Klieman's recent slide)

Guys and gals... I hate to sound like the pessimist here but is it time we consider removing the "going through" from this thread title?  Maybe we are hoping for something that just isn't realistic for our friends and perhaps we put too much pressure on them to change when a rough patch is just what they are?

It takes a lot of energy to be BB champs year after year.  The truth be told, they just don't have enough energy left to win a FB game.  :D
