Kansas State will look to put its stamp on Sunflower Showdown history in a way that's never been done before when the Wildcats meet Kansas on October 10 in Manhattan. In an in-state rivalry that dates to 1902, no school has ever posted 12 straight wins.

History awaits

That's a fun stat.  So, this means that the last time that KU beat K-State, this fall's HS seniors were in Kindergarten, right?  18 in a row is really the mark to shoot for.  That's the ol' "night in your lifetime" stat that's fun to throw out on the recruiting trail.

For some reason this thread has reminded me of Snyder's last game against KU. The refs totally gifted that one to the ol' Scheme Doctor, right? Back-to-back 70+ yard TDs called back for two phantom holding calls. That was Bill taking five steps on his way to the hoop right? Basically... feels good, is what I'm trying to say.  :gocho:

Man, Beatty had that program headed in the right direction, while Bill did not.

Glad the AD's stepped in.

Everyone knows bluebloods get the calls, particularly when playing at home.

I mean . . . duh.

Having this season cancelled will be the best season they've had in over a decade.

Plus they had yet another real chance to achieve 100 losses in 10 consecutive years. Crisis averted. 99 looks to be their high mark.

Is the cure worse than the disease though? What would their win total be over those 10 years?

More bad news for KU athletics in general. Charles "Blind Eye" Branson, criticized for being too rapey friendling, ousted after 16 years as Douglas County district attorney.
