  We won the Orange Bowl!!

But, didn't have to play Okie-Homer, TexAzz, or TexAzz Tech, and lost to Miss-Hourie. Kinda sad schedule. But be proud, "KQue was awesome because: "We didn't play the best 3 teams and lost to #4."

I truly feel your Pride of Non-Accomplishment. Kinda brings tears to my eyes.

I bet that orange bowl to KU fans was a similar feeling to our Frank Martin E8 run. Which was about as incredible a feeling as you could ever imagine.

That was one of the few times I kept up with K-State BB.  It was very enjoyable at work, due to the crying and complaining by KU fans; who were convinced it was a fluke.  :Woohoo:
Hot time in Kat town tonight.

If I were a KU fan, I would still be pissed off about being snubbed from the national championship game. No traditional power would have missed the game that season with the same schedule and results.

Mizzou that exact season had the same record, in the same conference, and won the head to head.

Mizzou had 2 losses. KU's 2007 season was pretty similar to Nebraska's 2001 season.

Not prior to the bowl game, which was what you were talking about in your post

Mizzou won their bowl game. Their second loss was in the Big 12 Championship game.

They lost to OU twice, who KU did not play once.

I'm sure ISU will take a lot of people down to Florida to see them play ND. I'm hoping it snows in Memphis for the Purple Turds' matchup with Navy in the Liberty Bowl. Great to see they got a cold weather venue.

Ksu continues to get a huge dose of reality of where they stand nationally when it comes to a TV draw,.as they got picked over in favor of Iowa State by the higher profile bowl games despite finishing with a better record and beating the Cyclones head to head.

Further proof that they are fcked if the Big 12 ever breaks apart as they are no doubt behind Iowa State in the pecking order for the least desirable school in the conference when the dust settles.

I'm sure it won't stop our idiot purple trolls from coming over here making fools out of themselves talking trash like they belong in the same league with the big boy schools like Alabama and Ohio State, If only they were intelligent enough to realize how stupid they look?

This honestly may be my favorite comment ever from a Jayhawk discussing football/conference realignment that will never happen.

Crap, I thought that quote came off Cyclone Fanatics.  Hard to believe little brother cares enough to compare bowl invites between KSU and ISU.  I guess if you're that insecure, you post comments like that.

Just hate to see when people don't understand how bowl games operate.

They appear blishfully unaware of the asskicking Klineman and staff are delivering them re in-state 2021 recruiting. They are all on about some California QB they aren't going to get.

It's understandable though.  Tough to understand something you never experience.

Some people reading this may think you're bbs'ing, but let's do a little math here. KU last played in a bowl game on December 31, 2008 in the Insight Bowl (aka Copper/BWW/Cactus/Cheeze-Its Bowl) located in Tempe, AZ. This occurred over 4000 days ago (nope, not a typo). For all you Cats fans, two weeks from now you'll be saying "That was over 9 bowl games ago!" Woof

If we assume that everyone Miles and company is trying to recruit is a senior in high school, then that means that they were 6 or 7 years old when KU last went bowling. Now, I have next to no memories of what was going on when I was 6 or 7 years old. Rewind the clock back a little to when I was a senior in high school, and I still don't have much of a memory of what was going on when I was 6 or 7 years old. What about those currently in Lawrence? The seniors that will be graduating in May will have barely been in middle school. Okay, so we're getting a little better as far as memories go, but still no real emotional connection to the program.

I'll spare you guys from dragging this out, and say that the people that actually do remember the mediocre amount of success they had, and that may be able to help the program out, actually can't right now because Karl was tired of their '08 Avalon and decided to go get a 2020 GMC Denali (already with 15k miles) financed for 120 months at 18% interest thanks to the Christmas special deal that Crimson and Blue Used Motors was having. They're located right across the street from the Kubota dealership, and a half block east of Sonic (true story). That, on top of Karla's Christmas spending spree and their ESPN+ package, and there just isn't anything left to give to KU football. After all, they have to start saving to get those upper deck seats at the Sprint Center in March.

Most fun The Booth has seen in a long time.

Also look how much fun Les is having getting pulled on that sled.  Similar to an Alzheimer’s patient glowing after telling a story of their childhood.
Kansas City Blue Barbecue fan.
