Do they though?
In 2018 they went 3-0 in the noncon beating a Big 10 team by 41 points. They beat TCU by 1 point, lost to WVU by 16, OU by 15 (scored 40 against them), and lost to UT by 7.

This year they went 2-1 in the noncon, losing to a fun belt team and beating an ACC team by 24. They lost to TCU by 37, lost to WVU by 5, OU by 25, and UT by 2.

I see the rest of their games this year shaping up similarly to what they did last year.
Tech 48-16
K-State 21-17
Baylor 26-7
OSU 48-28
Flood Aggie 48-28
Even if they do win one of these games it's going to be pretty tough to show real progress, they weren't horrible last year. Their offense is probably better, that defense is dog crap though. 51 to TCU?

even that 29 to WVU is bad.

I think they look improved from last year. However, there wasn't much room to get worse under Beaty.

i believe they only start 1 underclassman.
7 seniors on defense and something like 5 on offense including 5th year QB.
they will be worse next year
and they will be bad the year after that too
they graduate most the players in their program this year and next
so will ksu

Agreed. They are certainly ahead of where they've been for years. Miles' scatterbrain act is a front, he was smart enough to hire an offensive mind to keep him away from the perception that he stuck with obsolete offensive schemes.

The first OC had the job for like 10 days before leaving to take a head coaching gig at Troy, or something like that. Les had to hire someone quick with signing day a month away. Credit Les for passing the sentence and swinging the sword quickly.

Before the moment passes I want to congratulate KU on losing 100 games in less than 10 years. Streak began on 10/17/09 and completed on 9/28/19. I mean technically you could say they lost 101 games in 10 years because there was another loss on 10/5/19, but that would be applying the last 7 games from 2009 and the first 6 games from 2019 which comes to 13. So we can be nice and just call it 100 losses in the equivalent of 10 complete seasons (120 games played). As of today the numbers are still the same. We drop off the loss from 10/17/09 and add a loss from 10/19/19.
