I think they are losing more players this year than they have scholarships for next year. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them in a bowl game in 2020, though.

I think this was a good hire for the Hawks. I think he'll have them bowling in 3-4 years, maybe less. And then consistent bowls after that.
If KSU still has Bill, the Hawks are going to recruit circles around the Cats.

We almost lost at home this year to them, and they were coached by an SEC wide receivers coach for crying out loud!

There has been no coach in the history of Kansas State University, NOT named Snyder, who has been to more than one bowl game.  And we have people in this thread suggesting KU wouldn't be wildly successful if Les kept KU around .500 and to a couple of bowl games.  eff me.  THAT would make a coach the second most successful coach in Kansas State University history, for eff's sake.

 Wow, you're right! I guess since the sleeping giant that is KU football has finally been awakened, we all should just pack it up and go home. Makes sense to do so since this is Bill's last year anyway.

I think he genuinely believes he's been hired to coach an intramural squad of ex-cons and volunteer firefighters and run some sort of soup kitchen.  In some very real ways, he has been.

I was truly impressed with this hire until I saw this video.  Now I fear it's gonna be a blooper reel of senility, and i'm not sure it's ethical to derive joy from something like that.  Sad.

K-State football is not one man anymore.  It's much bigger than that now, with a lot more structural investment from the AD, university, and fans/alumni.

Kansas has one of the top head coaches in college football.....today. He was a top 10 coach when LSU fired him and like I said above, could be improved.

Arguably the best motivator.

He’s the best football coach KU will have ever had.

There are not 15 better candidates on the planet for this job. KU got really lucky with the circumstances to make this possible and the future has gone from dumpster fire to very bright and ridiculously entertaining. eff yes.

I wonder if they have some roster turnover that comes with a change of coach.  I can't see a lot of the players having other options or Miles having enough players right away to fill the roster.  Being out of coaching for a few years probably has him behind on contact with players. It would be pretty amazing if he has been pulling a Huggins and recruiting the crap out of players.

KU has actually looked like an almost-competitive team this last month. At least Miles won't have to completely gut the roster to rebuild.
