A+ source in KU AD said the Harbaugh submitted resume to KU via fax, and Perkins didn't even look at it. He wanted and was going to get Gill regardless of cost. So, it appears that KU's expectations of hiring Harbaugh were actually realistic, but Lew wasn't going to even look at Harbaugh as a candidate. All the comparisons that KU fans make of KU to Stanford are hilarious. Just spend a day on the Stanford campus, and the absurdity of comparing the two institutions of higher learning becomes apparent.
I love the idea of a coach as good as Harbaugh having to fax in a resume and praying he gets an interview.
Or, if the fax indicates the seriousness in which Harbaugh applied for the job.
I love the idea that KU fans believe that Harbaugh had someone look up Lew's fax number, filled out a cover sheet and went to the fax machine down the hall to apply for the job.
JFC, are they so out of touch with how collegiate athletics work that they buy this crap? Coaches today are paid millions and are represented by teams of agents and lawyers who do these deals.
It is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain TSC when they don't even exist in a realm which approaches reality. This would be similar to some GPC moron thinking Coach K faced his resume to Currie when Frank left.
