cause holy crap we've been doing projects non-stop the last few years. (BTF finished, rowing center, WSC, parking lots refinished, Vanier). I guess if I was pretty butthurt, I'd post pics taken before some of the best facilities in the world were built too.

"Friend" of mine who is a big KU supported/fan spoke with the KU AD during the Baylor bball game and asked him why they're not pouring $ into the stadium and upgrading facilities right now. His answer explains it all. He said, "Right now we're 9 out of 10 when it comes to football facilities in the big XII (uh, who is 10?). We can't afford to spend $150M on renovations and only jump to like 7 or 8 in that race. That would be a poor use of funds. When we rebuild (he said rebuild), it needs to put us in the top half of the conference" Also, he gave some excuse on that the campus has regulations of how tall and where they can build up the stadium in its current location. He said to dig down or do a complete tear down and rebuild would cost  a minimum of $250-300 given the space available - money they don't have now. Mentioned that U of Minn was what they were targeting and they spent about $300ish million on a 53K seat stadium.

So, they're just wait it out until someone donates another $100M to the football program. That is a solid plan.

I think they're hoping the Cerner guy just leaves him his estate.

alternative reasons for beems posting those super old pictures is they dont even include the finished basketball training facility.  it absolutely kills him that not only do we have amazing football facilities, we also have top notch basketball facilities.  man, its pretty great to have the money to build whatever the eff we want, isnt it you guys

They've been talking the same stuff about what they're going to do to their football stadium for at least 10 years now.   It'll be 15 years minimum once they start construction since the earnest talk about doing something substantial to the stadium began.

Just remember 1.6 Anderson Football Centers can fit inside Vanier 2.0.

There's a thread on phog right now about cheering for K-State.  As for the "shambles" thing, your program was in shambles.  Your athletic director and football coach were both fired, and your basketball program was in the infancy of its resurgence.  I don't care if you guys make fun of KU.  Taters gonna tate.  Just don't get all pissed when I call you out for being a bunch of hateful pricks. 

Oh and the google earth pics are dated because google hadn't updated its satellite images.  The new stadium addition is nice for K-State standards, but it looks kind of out of place and isn't really that impressive from an architectural standpoint.

The new basketball practice facility is really nice, and your stadium addition looks great from inside the stadium.  I'm just not a big fan of the exterior.  Vanier 2.0 looks great and will probably tie everything together, just like Lebowski's rug really tied the room together.
