I've heard of "Take back the night" but in Lawrence they have morning, mid-day, afternoon, early evening......

Some day typical ku fan is going to realize that in the Big 12, particularly in the original Big 12 conference that winning in football with consistency was (and still is) hard. For many schools in the original (and even the current) not being good at basketball only moved the needle for a small group of their respective fan bases. Not being good at football was unacceptable across the entirety of most fan bases in the conference. At several schools, not being good at baseball was a bigger deal than being bad at basketball.

Some ku fans may realize that, but most never will. Because to admit that, admits that their entire way of life, their reason for being is irrelevant in the world.

I now put our first 7 games in the "realistically winnable" column and unless things change 3 of our last 5 are pretty sure losses due to some tough road games. If we could go 4-3 and then 2-3 after the bye week that would not require us to beat any ranked teams or win any road games

They sure get cocky after holding on to beat a low tier FCS team. One week in and they are already "realistically" planning a bowl trip
