cliffs: there are like 4 other projects (mainly basketball related- rules of basketball housing, dorms, etc..) then football gets it's turn for renovation. apparently the quote is 120M and won't be ready for 3-5 years.

If it really is 120 million, that's not going to do much given how far behind they already are. 

I know that they have the Clip Art complex, but it's going to cost a lot to remove the track, right?  It's almost like half of that will just be blown on reconfiguring existing stuff as opposed to building anything new and fun.

I mean, we still have a couple of phases after this one.  We're going to be somewhere north of $200 million on total renovations, right?

Agree with this. They want to remove the track and lower the field and add new seats down there. And square off the bowl. And build new concourses, restrooms, concession stands. And presumably do something to make the exterior facade look attractive. And also do something to get rid of/upgrade the ugly endzone recliners. And probably add sideline club seats and suites.

Unless they go on a shoestring budget, $120 million is just a starting point.

Beems, you surely have to understand that comparing ancient football history with the present college football landscape is pretty disingenuous...right? I mean, K-State gave less than zero shits about football until Wefald got into town. I'm pretty sure we were purposefully sabotaging our football program so that basketball would remain the number one game in town. As compared to KU right now, you guys are trying as hard as you rough ridin' can to be relevant, and you've still worn a giant clown suit for the last three years (actually outside of a handful of seasons, the same could be said for the last 25 years). Since K-State has started committing resources to football we've been nationally relevant and have knocked your dicks in the dirt on the reg. It's rough ridin' impossible to be as bad as you guys are in the current football climate, but goddammit you did it. Congratulations, you've turned losing into a rough ridin' art form. I cant imagine how much the football landscape will have changed in the 10 years before they complete some work on their stadium. I'd be terrified if I was a Ku fan.
