That was an absolutely painful game to watch.  KU looked horrible.

I don't see how KU wins a Big 12 game this year.  After watching the Duke and CMU games in the last two weeks, this may be the worst team in the Gill/Weis era.  I wasn't expecting them to be this bad, but my God.  That was an abomination.

Did anyone else see the entire offense false start, but the center was just sitting there, calmly, with the ball?  Then he just turns around like, "Hey guys, what's going on?"

Can anyone tell me why the AD hasn't revoked The Journal World's media passes for all games and other university sponsored events?  Obviously the backlash from The Journal World and articles about the University of Kansas would be just as unnecessarily negative as they are now. You have the owner of the paper writing in special editorials bashing to university on an issue that is quite evident and doesn't need bashing from our own "supporters." The lead reporters (sans Tait) take any and every opportunity to bash the football team that they can.

I'm not asking for the articles to be "pie in the sky, unicorns and rainbows" ********, but to dog on KU after a loss is bush league. Seriously, what is our motivation? To give some people access to all-you-can-eat buffets from the media relations department?

It's just bizarre dynamics between the AD at KU and the LJW. I've travelled all over and I've never seen a newspaper in a college town lambast the school and AD like the LJW does. Does it all stem from Big Lew pulling their pristine seats at AFH or was there friction before that?

IMO the LJW goes out of its way to "prove" it isn't some entity sucking up to the University and that filters from the top. Even the whole "Kansas University" pissing contest when KU's style guide clearly states they want to be called University of Kansas is an example.

That said, they could be a lot worse. I'm sure they hear a lot that they either don't run or can't prove and thus don't run. Lawrence is a small town and there have been an ample amount of things that they could blow up more than they have.

It is a bit annoying, sure, but it wold be pretty stupid for the school or AD to do what the OP suggests and limit or cut off access

It's really no big secret what happened here.  When Lew Perkins ended the favorite treatment that Bob Frederick and his predecessors had long bestowed on the LJW, including several free courtside basketball tickets for the Simons family, the LJW became openly hostile towards the KUAD
