My hometown Rayhawk fan who suddenly likes college football on the cusp of giving up on the sport once again.

A bit of a sour note to end the season but I guarantee you ev.er.y single citizen of raytown mo is holding their head high right now. Greatest mid season turn around in the history of college football. Wave that wheat, raytown denizens! The universe owes you 3 goal post tear downs

Light pole squeezed one winning season out of Les Miles' recruiting haul. Probably need to bump the salary.

the dream of a beautiful bowl game was too good to be true but no one can deny that this season was a resounding success as our feathered friends almost got to.500 this conference season

An incredible season of 'what if's'.  They truly could be in the Big 12 championship if they were coached a smidge better and they couldn't even make a bowl game.  Such a shame.  I hope LL gets the help with his booze and and anger issues in the off season..

On a side note, here I am posting in this thread because we suck balls.  :flush:
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

Rumors abound that Lightpole's agent just double checked with his cell provider that he had their unlimited plan.  He does . . . but a twinge told him just to double check.

TBF, it's kinda truly amazing how many teams this season are more or less in this position, either just missing bowls or just missing conference champ games due to a few WTF games.

The consensus in raytown and grandview is that they won 3 more but turned down the bowl.  The score is not always indicative of the result

With graduating 30 seniors from a team that *nearly* made it to 0.500 and the 15th ranked recruiting class in the Big XII this year, they are pretty much back in the mud for the foreseeable future, no?

Let's hope that they can hit the portal hard.

At least LL proved that you CAN catch lightning in a bottle at KU and win NINE games in a season....Just like Mangino did....Just like Mason did....

But at the end of the day the beakers are like crabs in a pot and always pull their successful FB back down to keep them from stealing the limelight from their squeaky hoops team.

If I was LL, I would be working on a bullshit change order for the stadium supported concrete slab that Dax mentioned failed, and use that money for my NIL/portalling and make those stupid taters pay for it as part of the overrun.

Since K-Staters are productive, tax-paying citizens, it WOULD subsidize the welfare queens in Lawrence.

That's is absolutely wild. And also, has anyone besides Beaty gone from a positions coach to a head coach? At any level?

I thought you were going to ask if a Div I head coach ever moved down to be a HS coach (besides Art Briles).
