There’s nobody better at spreading propaganda & controlling the narrative then the KU media mafia and their ideological complicit Fanbase

The current WH administration seems to be doing a fine job

Wtf are you guys talking about re: capacity?

Why are you asking us? We didn't make 5000 seats disappear since 2006.

Who cares about whether it was a “sellout”? The fact over 40k fans even remembered where the stadium was is pretty damned impressive.

Yes that’s really impressive.  Maybe they will get their new stadium after all

Agreed. Silly to claim an unnecessary sellout when your fans obviously turned out in numbers unseen in over a decade

I legit don't understand what silly crusade you're on here, but the 'cats are playing, so let's table it for now.

1. That was an amazing crowd today, truly, no help from the road team either
2. There were a couple of thousands empty seats
3. That stadium holds significantly more than 47,000 people.

I don't know why any of those observations seem to bother you so much.

Now that OU has been destroyed (go cats), KU can't sell the tickets for seats obstructed by the touchdown club/party deck. That is why capacity was lowered from 50K to 47K and change.

That makes perfect sense. That's a crap ton of obstructed seats and potential lost revenue though.

Those bowl seats are the worst seats in the stadium, anyway. And @sonofdaxjones, it wasn't the announcers who declared a sell-out. It was the entity that, uh, sells the tickets, and they did so several days before the game.

I fully understand.  KU Memorial Stadium’s official capacity is now 3,000 less than BSFS.

It’s smart. When I want to have an instant,  albeit short lived IQ drop (from super genius to just genius).  I read the phognet stadium thread.  I completely enjoyed the segment where one if not several were pushing 60k plus seating for New Memorial.

Those pushing for a 65K stadium are absolutely bonkers. #CommonGround

KU and the refs are going to team up to give ISU an old fashioned ass whipping.
