Why can't the greatest:  Town, university, athletic department with the greatest athletic facilities be better at football??

It really is crazy that they not only have advantages over most other programs in every way, they clearly have advantages over us in literally every way. Yet here we are, boggles the mind.

Having the best town outside of Austin in the Big 12, some of the best facilities in the country, and a major metropolitan area next door makes KU a VERY attractive job for anyone outside of the top names. It's shameful what Gump has allowed to occur. Hopefully he's not around to hire the next guy. If someone with half a brain makes the next hire, I expect KU to have roughly Oklahoma State's level of success. That's what we SHOULD be expecting, and a school like ours deserves.

Wow!  Most of the people I know from KU actually believe this.  Odd that with such a tremendous town/facilities would only aspire to achieve at the level of Oklahoma State.

KU is so lucky the webercats at least have a pulse in basketball.  I dread our FB games against KU.  If we lose, the shame lasts forever.  If we win, we either kept it too close or we were unsportsmanlike for running up the score with our 4th stringers.  There is no way to come out of that game really feeling like a win.

Let's do a little analysis of our recent attendance figures:

2017: 26,640 per game. (High: KSU, 36,223; Low: Texas Tech, 21,050)
2016: 26,161 per game. (High: Rhode Island, 28,864; Low: Iowa State, 23,757)
2015: 27,281 per game. (High: Memphis, 37,798; Low: West Virgnia, 21,415)

To put things in perspective, we haven't announced an attendance of more than 40,000 since 2013. With our continued stay in the FBS basement, and the game against the purps being played on the road this year, I expect this season to be our worst average attendance in at least 30 years (likely much longer, but attendance numbers on wiki only go back until 1988). An interesting question would be whether we have a game dip below 20,000 announced fans. We announced precisely 20,000 against North Texas in 1998, and that's the worst I've seen in the last 30 years.

It is literally due north of the McDonald's at the rest stop between KC and Lawrence. Eastern facing, 3 boards down from the KU football board. There were about 15 cars/semis parked right in front of it when I arrived this morning to take a pic.

We should have about 2million people actually look at it over the next 30 days based on that location.
