Spring game is on right now (replay). Reminded me that they're 1-0!

In 6 years they'll begin redoing the stadium?  Will it even make it that long?

The Phog is on lockdown.  It says I have to be a Premium Member just to read their forums.  They must be really embarrassed!   :frown:

The budget for the entire stadium is significantly less than we spent on one end zone? Okay, good luck with that...

They're totally embarrassed. They always hate it when anyone talks anything negative about them and now they're doing it to themselves. They probably don't want you to see what they've become. Dr. J tries to keep the morale up, and directs the hate towards Zenger, but then everyone calls out his BS. It's sad.  :frown:

We're falling so far behind already and we're going to wait 6 more years, potentially?

Tech has a $135M renovation in 2013.
TCU has a $105M renovation in 2012.
Iowa State has a $55M expansion in 2015.
KSU has $125M in add-ons in 2015.
WVU has $50M in upgrades in 2016.
Baylor has a $266M new stadium in 2014.
Texas hasn't released the cost, but they are planning new renovations.
Oklahoma announced a $160M renovation in 2015.
Oklahoma State spent $19M on an indoor stadium in 2013 after spending 400M in 2006-2008 to rebuild.

Meanwhile, we spend $2M on lockers, a pregrame DJamer, and cleaner restrooms, and we haven't done anything worthwhile since the $31M Anderson Football Complex with two practice fields that opened in August 2008.

It feels like we're falling behind compared to the rest of the conference--especially if we actually wait until 2023.

clever

Proactive like having a brainfart that's bigger than a pallet of urinal cakes delivered for home games, and a spiffy DJamer to rock the students that don't come.
That reminds me....we were promised fresh urinal cakes, but I don't think I ever saw them last fall.

Like many human siblings, some grow and prosper while some are determined to make their art hobby a real living, but the etsy customers just ain't buyin'. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be right for us to supplement their folly with our great fortune just because we can. Life choices and all.

Wait, are they really listing cleaner bathrooms/replenished supply of urinal cakes as a separate line item for stadium improvements?  I mean if they built all new bathrooms or something that is legit but just merely making them cleaner?  Jesus, it's worse than I thought.   :frown:

It's actually listed as a $5 million expense in 2022 and $45 in 2023.

Not sure if that means a $5 mil renno with a larger one to follow in a different area or if that's just how they are planning on paying for it.

There's some interesting stuff in there for us as well but in a positive way, including $4.65 mil being spent on phase V at the Bill the next few years.

Just a place holder guys, any year the timeframe is gonna move up, just wait.

Thing is, a positive game day experience at real P5, non Groupon prices extends beyond wins and losses into the total Gameday experience.   No one wants to hang out in a shithole watching shitty football.

What have we spent on the Bill since we started the West side project? New West side, new N. Endzone, limestone fence...still waiting for a lazy river.
