Thankfully KU was able to convince Bill Self and related charities, a land developer plus the taxpayers of the City of Lawrentucky to finance their urban sprawl suburbia style genericized sports park so they could finally remove that extremely dangerous track, and various jump runways from around the football field.

Had it been solely up to Zenger to raise the money, welp, that extremely dangerous (non official configuration) track would likely still be in place.

Off the top of my head I know the 3 QB's (Willis/Stanley/Cozart) and the 1 fast WR/KR Gonzalez...Thats all I can come up with and I watched 2-3 of their games this year.

KU had two defensive linemen make first team all conf, in spite of having a really bad defense. No idea what their names are tho.

David Beaty is the next Dabo Swinney

I was looking how Dabo became head coach of Clemson.

Dabo was a walk on at Alabama and played there. He was a WR coach at Alabama for a few years, then the Alabama HC and staff was fired in 2000. So Dabo was out of football and he was in the real estate business 2000-2003.

2003 he went to Clemson to be the WR coach and later became the recruiting coordinator. 2008 Clemson HC Tommy Bowden resigned mid season and Dabo became the interim coach. Next year Dabo is the HC and the rest is history.

I hear a lot on this board that Beaty was unqualified to be a HC. This just shows you never know where a good coach comes from. Dabo was considered a good recruiter and WR coach, just like Beaty.

I am now confident Beaty will be taking KU to a national Championship in about 7 years.

If you want to read what a rough background Dabo had growing up read this story. Amazing some things he went through. He got his nick name as his older brother would call him "That Boy" it sounded like "Dabo"
