So you're telling me that KU's last road win happened on the same day that we lost on the road to Louisiana-Lafayette with Josh Cherry? Good god. That was SO LONG AGO.

I hadn't seen it mentioned on here but their 39 straight road losses is a FBS record.

They keep this up, it might be 3 short seasons before they have more all time losses than us

Just think, this fall some bright eyed 7 year old kid from Denver is going to go to his first ever ku football game. The crunch of the leaves under his feet, the smell of all the grills fired up in the best damn tailgating, nay, football setting on the planet. The feel of the soft grass as he rolls down that majestic hill whilst frolicking with the other youngsters. And when he says "golly dad, what was that magical place?" His dad will pause, warmly smile and respond "that pile of crap out there has literally not won a road game in the entirety of your life. Seriously, from the day you were born, this team hasn't won a one single road game. Let that sink in, son." The young man, befuddled will reply "well, gee whiz dad, that's pretty lousy! Why do they even play football?" And he'll say "son, if you ask me...I say it isn't even about football..."

Since the start of round robin play in the Big 12, KU is 2-43 in Big 12 conference play.  Odds are they go 0-9 again this year, which will bring them to 2-52 in the last six years.

That will be good for a 3.7% winning percentage in Big 12 play.

And in that same time period, K-State has twice as many conference wins inside Memorial Stadium (4) as KU does (2).

That isn't true, we had to play them back to back at the pillbox, no one else had to do that.

It will be 3 wins for us in Memorial since 2011.  After 2016, it will be 3 for everyone except WVU and ISU.

They have to commit to building, regardless of what the fans want.  Beaty needs four years, regardless of record, to at least get them to 85 scholarships.

If they want to fire him after that, fine.  Then they need to focus on someone that will build something resembling a football program.  Tell him he has four years to get to a bowl game.

Then, if you want to fire them and go get someone better, fine.  But this is a 4-5 year rebuild job, minimum, and more like 8-10.  They had so few players on scholarship when Beaty came that it's almost like they are being promoted from FCS, but they have to manage it in the Big 12, with our round robin, and not something like the Sun Belt or MAC.

I think this team might be worse than last year.

The amount of effort to discern how much worse they are than last year is wasted.  It's like trying to determine which turd is a darker shade of brown.

The only reason they'll get a win this year is because South Dakota State is actually a pretty good FCS team, and Rhode Island is basically the worst.

Rhode Island is ranked 231/253 in Sagarin's ratings where they combine FBS and FCS.  South Dakota State is 105/253.  Kansas is 126/253.  So, really, Kansas would be expected to be 0-12 again if they wouldn't have scheduled one of the absolute worst teams in FCS for game 1.

I mean, this is the level they're at right now...

121  Coastal Carolina     AA =  56.18    2   1   44.22( 206)    0   0  |    0   0  |   56.78  121 |   52.89  134 |   53.14  134
 122  Wyoming              A  =  56.15    2   1   59.20( 119)    0   0  |    0   1  |   56.27  122 |   55.39  128 |   55.75  124
 123  Massachusetts        A  =  55.71    1   2   66.94(  62)    0   0  |    0   1  |   55.72  125 |   55.69  125 |   55.68  125
