KU's current recruiting class has 17 players from the state of Texas. When I've been critical of K-State's shitty recruiting classes in the past, the excuse from Butthurt Nation was that a 2-star from Texas was better than a 3-star from the state of Kansas. Now that the roles are reversed, KU's recruiting class sucks, and K-State's is awesome. God bless Butthurt Nation.
FYI, that recruiting ranking of #49 doesn't include 4 of our recruits, for whatever reason.

I do think it's funny how they crap on their own t-shirt fans tho. http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=172&f=2485&t=13628421
Can I please have the link to this top 5 nationally ranked class, beems? This is the first time i've ever heard this talking point. I feel like this would have been broadcasted more through your minions.
11. Kansas – The seeds of last year’s improbable 12-1, Orange Bowl-winning season were sown in a recruiting class that housed a bunch of hidden gems. The headliners were Talib and Collins, a pair of 2-star recruits with few options coming out of high school that matured into All-Americans and future NFL Draft choices. While Collins had played just one year of organized football before getting to Lawrence, Talib was overlooked, testaments to what happens when really good coaches blend with raw talent. Mortensen and McClinton were All-Big 12 first teamers, key components of an underrated defense that yielded just 16 points a game in 2007. Fields has hauled in over 100 passes over the last two seasons, while Herford, recruited as a quarterback, has emerged as one of the nation’s most dangerous kick returners. Had Talib and Collins resisted the temptation of the NFL and returned to school, this might have been a top 5 class by this time next year. Hits: CB Aqib Talib, T Anthony Collins, LB Joe Mortensen, LB Mike Rivera, DT James McClinton, WR Dexton Fields, and WR Marcus HerfordMisses: NoneFinal 2004 Ranking: No. 56
Oh, so they were almost top 5. Nice class!
Quote from: WackyCat08 on February 10, 2015, 12:33:08 PMOh, so they were almost top 5. Nice class! They were top 5 according to Rivals, but I couldn't find a link because the content is at least seven years old by this point. Too bad you weren't bbs'ing back then, Fanning.

Who you looking at, swan?!?!This is such a stupid talking point. Prince inherited LHC Bill Snyder's football program. Mangino inherited Terry Allen's football program. The two situations were completely independent of one another. During Prince's time at K-State ('06 to '08), Mangino went 14-10 in the Big 12 with a 3-0 record vs. K-State. Prince went 9-15 in the Big 12 with an 0-3 record vs. KU. Mangino also won NCOY in '07 along with an Orange Bowl. The two aren't even close in terms of accomplishments and head coaching ability.

Snyder left the K-State football program in much better shape than Terry Allen left KU, despite the bad seasons in '04 and '05. This isn't debatable.
butthurt nation is simply laughing at this guy. why can't you?
