yikes. First off, I'm pretty sure that the teams that have been doing this for a while -- namely Hawaii and Wazzu, make up their own unique haka instead of just straight ripping off the NZ All Blacks. Secondly, I hope they try to do this at the cats this year because that will just be so precious.

K-State's Independence Bowl team did a war dance like that, I wanna say it was started and led by Mike Simeta, who played on that team. I guess there were a couple of Samoan guys on that "football squad." I'll try to find the article on microfilm when I'm home for the Baylor game.

True, KSU did it back then under Jim Dickey. KSU had quite a few Samoans back then, and it began organically.

Nothing organic about this version.
