The only thing I like about uverse is that they provide competition. They otherwise suck.
They're the same as Cox, but they aren't afraid to whore themselves out to keep your business, basically
I will have to take you at your word. I know Cox operates in many podunk areas with virtually no competition. That makes for a different environment than what im used to.

Also if you haven't gotten your 1 time  $25 bill credit you're missing out.

AT&T is coming to my house in about ten days to hook me up with fiber.

Got a decent deal.  3 year rate lock, U-300, Gigapower, Unlimited Voice, HBO free for three years, plus two wireless receivers for 174 a month.  Could be worse.

If the reliability of the product,  actual cost on bill, and customer service is anything like it was when I signed with them.a yr ago, it will be worse

I've had U-Verse for seven years over two houses, and reliability has never really been an issue.  There was one time, about five years ago, where a really bad electrical storm caused a box to get fried, but they were out the next day to fix it.

Cost on Bill kind of sucks, but it's because of the channel cost increases.  You just have to call and get it sorted out.  We saw a big increase in our bill here recently, but with this new deal, it's going to go down again, and I'm getting way more.

We had it for 28 days and during that time we had no service for some think like 19 days.  During that time I had something like 7 tech appointments.  They told me it would be something like 135/mo and our first bill came up to something like 219.  We pulled the plug before our 30 day no fault cancellation clause lapsed.   It was a horrible experience.   I spent several hours a day for 5 or 6 days on the phone with their customers support.

eff them.

Uverse internetting blows donkey dick in my part of town, I have had multiple neighbors tell horror stories of trying to do work video conferencs with its unstable speeds.

I just hated how netflix would vary from SuperHD to 240p every 5 or 10 minutes

If we were picking teams for kickball, and the players were cable companies, and I were a captain, I would shoot AT&T in the face with my judge and then do 5 years before escaping through a sewage pipe, moving to Guyana and sending creepy threatening emails via proxy servers to AT&T's surviving family members while slamming Red Dogs all day/night.

It's one of those things where if you don't have problems, then you won't have problems.  But, when you do have a problem, it becomes a big rough ridin' problem.

seems to be how it is with most companies.  we were fine with TWC at our old place (wasn't amazing, but steady and it worked and it was our only option).  when we moved into our new house, the box barely worked, internet speeds were 20% what we paid for...went through three cable boxes...would take 5-10 seconds just to change channels and the guide was unresponsive half the time.  they came out and put a new line to the pole as well and didn't help.  the final straw for me was when we got a letter telling us we'd been upgraded for free to 300 Mbit internet and I ran a speedtest and it came back at 8 Mbit.
