I suggest you go break into your local construction rental place and steal a generator before the other looters get there first. If you go to a rental place first you'll have a better shot than the mob going Home Depot/Lowes.

OK, if it goes really bad, just take showers, DO NOT DRY OFF, and walk out onto the unstained deck and just sit there and drink your gourmet beers and so forth.

Downsides: Naked in front of Omaha neighbors is iffy. You will probably ruin the marriages of every single family next to you.

Positives: Very "into the wild" type thing. You and your many children will come to love nature and cherish the simple things in life.
