I mean can you imagine going on a romantic getaway and not telling the woman you're taking that it's to a swinger resort? Wow. "surprise, we're rough ridin' errybody" I think that's all you really need to know about him. Very interesting. Incredibly narcissistic/sociopathic.

I just reread it through page 74....

Dgale posts start on page 7

Some former players start posting on 27

Some point after that another woman scorned by ranni reveals herself and bonds with dgale over their shared ranni stories.

Its really a great telenovela.

Have we ever figured out how he was able to assemble that all star staff? Looks like Rahne was a Franklin guy but what was Prince's connection to Franklin/Morris etc?

I think they were on the same staff at like James Madison or something. Franklin was Ron's kids' godfather I think. Morris may have coached with Ron at Hofstra.

Don't forget his initial staff also had Ruffin McNeil who had a pretty good run at ECU.

They were all unknowns, it was a young coach assembling a young staff.

I think there was something about Prince/Morris/Franklin having an informal pact to hire each other onto the staff of whoever got a HC gig first.

He left before the season started. Or maybe he was just the leading DC candidate and turned us down.

this led me to the 2006 KSU football media guide. And man, the design and writing are...something else

https://www.kstatesports.com/documents/2019/3/12/2006_K_State_Football_Media_Guide.pdf

Quote
With Prince, the former offensive coordinator at Virginia, now at the con-
trols of the program and former Green Bay wide receivers coach James
Franklin calling the shot as offensive coordinator, Kansas State’s offense fig-
ures to be quite different in both form and function in 2006.
After relying heavily on the quarterback run game for the past decade or
more, Prince unveiled a vanilla version of his pro-style offensive attack during
the spring that seemed to mesh seamlessly with K-State’s current personnel.
Adding to the optimism is the fact that the Wildcats return nine starters
from a youthful offense that averaged a respectable 26.3 points per game dur-
ing 2005 to rank virtually smack dab in the middle of the Big 12.
In fact, the Wildcats ranked seventh in the Big 12 in three different offen-
sive categories last season - rushing (134.0), total offense (339.7) and scoring.
With plenty of experience back in the fold for 2006, K-State figures to possess
as much offensive upside as any team in the league.
K-State returns plenty of talent at the skill positions and the coaching staff
will have plenty of options at quarterback, running back and wide receiver.
The challenges appear to be on the offensive line - the head coaches’ special-
ty. If Prince can cobble together a five-man offensive line that can hold its
own at the line of scrimmage, the potential exists for this unit to be explosive.

When Ron Prince stepped to the podium after being introduced as Kansas
State’s 33rd head football coach on Dec. 5, 2005, it didn’t take long for
the native Kansan to reveal a long-held affinity for both the University
and its football program.

“I’ve been preparing for this opportunity my whole life,” were among the very first
words uttered by Prince as the Wildcats’ new head coach. You see for Prince, serving as
K-State’s head football coach is truly a dream come true.

Raised in Junction City, Kan., which is located just 20 miles west of Manhattan, Prince
literally grew up in the shadow of Kansas State University. And as far back as he can
remember, at least to the age of three or four according to his best recollections, he has
dreamt of one day leading the Wildcats.

“I was one of those kids you all saw running around KSU Stadium and Ahearn Field
House,” Prince recalls. “This University has always been a part of me.”
With that dream realized, Prince wasted little time in his new role and hit the ground
running during his first 60 days on the job, implementing his visionary strategy for
Wildcat football like a new-breed CEO.

Working at a break-neck pace, Prince quickly put together a young, aggressive staff
that figures to be a force to be reckoned with for years to come, signed one of the
nation’s best recruiting classes and skillfully reintegrating himself into a community that
has for so long been an integral influence on his life.

He also hit the media circuit with grace and aplomb, and
embarked on a statewide barnstorming and public speaking tour that
brought new energy to the Wildcat fan base.

The next 90 days saw Prince finally get on the field with the
Wildcats. Spring practice proved to be a time of teaching, as Prince
and his staff deftly went about the task of installing K-State’s new
offensive and defensive systems during 15 spring workouts that cul-
minated in a record crowd of just under 32,000 in attendance at the
annual Purple and White spring game.

Now, on the eve of the 2006 season, Prince looks to carry the
momentum generated during his flawlessly-executed offeseason cam-
paign into his inaugural season with the Wildcats.

A voracious reader and a student of history as well as American
business, Prince culled much of his leadership gameplan during a
13-year coaching career that saw him rise from a volunteer coaching
position in the Kansas community college ranks to a principal role
within one of the nation’s premiere BCS conferences

Quote
Veteran head coach Tim McCarty, architect of
perhaps the second-greatest college football
turnaround in the state of Kansas, is in his
first season as Kansas State’s assistant head coach
and offensive line coach.

The native Kansan was named to his post on
Dec. 5, 2005, and was among Head Coach Ron
Prince’s first hires at Kansas State.

Considered to be a master motivator, McCarty
comes to Kansas State after a two-year stint as the
head coach at East Central University in Ada, Okla.
While at East Central, McCarty guided the Tigers
to a 9-11 record, including a surprising 6-4 finish
in his first season at the helm in 2004 on the heels
of being picked last in the Lone Star Conference’s
North Division that year.

McCarty coached one All-American at ECU dur-
ing the 2004 campaign in defensive end Justin
Brown, who was the No. 1 free agent signee of
the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts. Brown survived pre-
season camp until the final cut.

Prior to taking the reins at East Central, McCarty
built Tabor College (Kan.), into an NAIA power
from the ground up.

In his first season at Tabor in 1999, the Bluejays
had just 14 players in the program and struggled
through a 0-10 campaign. But improvements fol-
lowed rapidly as McCarty guided Tabor to a 3-7
record in 2000, a 5-5 mark in 2001, a 6-4
ledger in 2002 and ultimately a 9-2
record in 2003 that saw the Bluejays
achieve a No. 15 national ranking
and the program’s first berth in the
NAIA playoffs.

Following his successful 2003
campaign, McCarty was selected as the KCAC
Coach of the Year as well as NAIA.net’s National
Coach of the Year

Like did we make this thing in microsoft word with the default font?

That decision to punt was legitimately the dumbest coaching decision I've ever seen.
