Yes. Only open parking are side streets and underground parking that gets filled up quick due to car shows/gun shows/etc.

Does KC still require businesses to have a minimum number of parking spots?

Not downtown.  No more parking minimums for any building type.

Wacky I still don't know where you are going.  Every city has people drive in from out of of town and successfully navigate to stadiums.  Hell KC does it now with TMO center and look at all the big 12 yokels that seem to manage just fine.

just so we’re all clear here, Phil, employed by the city, has never seen a fault in their system. It’s 100% perfect.

What about Crossroads?

They are included in that "downtown" designation.  East crossroads is growing further east than the original freedom of no parking minimums was enacted.  I believe there is a push to get it throughout the urban core (which we should have done to begin with of course)

I 100% don’t think locals think parking is an issue in downtown KC. I get it. I also think the same ppl who say this out loud to themselves either A. Work for the city. B. Live downtown. C. Think some 2 mile choo choo train will solve the problem or D. Lie to themselves. E. All of the above.

Horrible to hear that.  Loved their food truck, never loved the full blown restaurant.

I deleted the post because apparently Mocat got ahead of it in the KC thread, but here it is again

It was also KC things to bitch about a more expensive "luxury" bond bridge back in the day.  I don't really care, it's a bridge.  This one will help open up the possibility of major north loop changes which I'm all about.

It would be cool to keep the Buck bridge if they can find a way to do it for little cash, so probably not happening.

waddell and reed is pulling out of the new downtown headquarters that they're building.  i think the city offered them ~$60M in incentives to leave OP.

interesting aesthetic

Very dumb company to offer anything.  Crazy worst case scenario.  Hopefully it gets finished.  W&R was just going to lease it from the builder/owner so what a mess.

Gotta finish it.  Then who knows.  There is about to be a glut of Class A office space.  Time to rent for cheap
