Spoke with our landlords realitor yesterday who lives in the River Market. Says it's been a complete crap show down there since the little engine that could came in. He regrets buying down there now. Says a lot of bums use the system and the homeless traffic has increased since it's gone in.

I'll buy his place. I'm sure he won't mind the property value increase he got.

Just think of all those bums. Must be terrible. Before the streetcar, they never dared walk the .3 miles from downtown across the north loop highway. But now...

I am quite impressed how serious Phil takes the streetcar and immediately defends it when anyone shits on it. They should rename it the 2 mile miracle by Phil Titola.

The rent controlled spots downtown are $670. I know there's apartments in Lenexa for that price, SDK. Maybe check those out.

But then I'll be in KS! I've found a few studios for my target price. Rumors of a salaried position coming down the pipe. So I may be able to expand my financial parameters.

I will say, for George to do a commercial promoting this for Burns & Mac it was very shittily done.  First there is no SSL cert.  Second they didn't even add a txt record to allow for a www address.  Must be a Sly project huh, 'clams?

Quote
Shall the City of Kansas City prohibit any and all City officers, agents and
employees from causing the planning for, construction, preparation for
construction, preparation of land, or purchase of land if connected to the
expansion of the streetcar system or any new fixed rail transit system,
without first gaining voter approval, and establish a penalty of up to
$1,000 a day for noncompliance?

I hope everyone in KCMO voted "YES" on question #1 today.
