i was told that would be impossible with our current terminal

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Embarrassing how awesome Denver's transit is now. They have a train straight from Colby KS airport to downtown in like 30 mins

Hmm...why do you need rail along a route that has like no traffic whatsoever?

Because when you're in Western KS you want to get away as quickly as possible.

Not mad... Just perplexed why the city thought this was the best way to move the airport project forward. They obviously knew better but decided to go this route anyway.

I mean, even as someone who supports a new single terminal, I question the optics and ethics involved with how this all has come about. I almost feel bad for B&M, but then I remember even they know better and could have advised the city to go with a traditional RFQ/P process (or at least asked the question).

this is SOP for kcmo's city government.  try to jam it through asap without doing the proper level of due diligence based upon the same scare tactics on every project, "the developers are going elsewhere", "costs are going to skyrocket if we don't start immediately", "yada yada yada".  they do it with every one of their pet projects while all of the pre-work is done with the transparency of vantablack.  they think they can scare people into making a "well, we don't have a choice, i guess it's better than nothing" decision.  seriously our city hall's iq can't exceed that of a junior high level, it's both funny and sad to watch them flop around the way they do.  but like i always say, their civic duty comes at the price of their private failure.

this is SOP for kcmo townie.  5 years of planning is "jam it through asap without doing the proper level of due diligence"

Any comments on the latest developments with the Airport project Abe or Phil?

I don't really care about the airport because I rarely travel, so I defer to those that travel for work or vacation every other week.

 Did you honk? I swear I heard a honk yesterday. It wasn't an ipod, it was my phone, and I was listening to Drake Pandora. Also, it was this hat:

It's already super dirty from golfing so much this year.  :gocho:

Also, I ran all the way to loose park yesterday from my house and back yesterday, so if it looked like I was dead, I definitely was half way there.

This is also why i'm going to stop saying no to happy hours during the week and blaming work for it. The kickball team wants to get together tonight at brookside and I told them I was out of town for work, because I hate turning ppl down and I want to stop boozing during the week.

Definitely a drinking thing. Trying to lose some wait and drink less. Don't get me started on join account stuff.  :curse: Every weekend we say we're going to take it easy, the next thing you know there's a pre baby shower on Friday night, a baby shower on Saturday, and now i'm supposed to go out with the guys (family) to the plaza to booze. I don't think she knows what a weekend in really is.
