my voice was heard and summarily dismissed, just like the majority of KCMO voters's were.   that's why we're having this vote, dumbass

That was a different plan that the east side voters didn't want....so a new plan was created that involved those who voted for it and expressed the desire to tax themselves...so the RTA took the lead to provide them what they wanted...

city hall person 1:  how do we get this passed?
city hall person 2:  look at the areas that voted yes and only allow those people who voted yes to vote on the next proposal

that's called gerrymandering but hey, nothing sly does is wrong and sly only does right so enjoy your streetcar that we all know is going to pass since this has been rigged to pass

hopefully dan coffey puts the kibosh on this dumbass idea when he takes office

Judge didn't agree that the mander was being gerried.....the voting area is pretty equidistant from the line...hard to argue for that being unfair under TDD law....let's talk about the plaza taxing tdd without ANY votes if you want to talk unfair.

do you think that one being worse than the other makes the lesser of the two OK?  tdd law is mumped and what allowed the streetcar in the first place.  and yes, selectively pulling individuals into a voting district to ensure a favorable result is the textbook definition of gerrymandering, regardless of what the judge said and that's exactly what took place here and exactly what russ johnson said was going to happen back when his corrupt ass was on the council.

"you don't think this line is going to get extended?  i know 50 people that will make sure it does"

kcmo politics, you really can't make this crap up.  really though, it's hard to blame the dishonest politicos and businesses who are getting rich off of these things.

Yes i think a zero vote sales tax is worse than this where thousands are voting and thousands more only had to fill out a form within a 6 week process to get a ballot (which is way easier than showing up one day at a location to vote).

I am a fan of those who benefit, pay for it...so zona Rosa residents shouldn't have a vote where they aren't increasing their own property tax. Vice versa...they want to tax themselves for better something in their hood...go for it...I don't need or want to vote on it.

That's a bad look for the cop. She is clearly intoxicated and on the wrong side of the road.

Def need the audio (that probably doesn't exist) of his conversation with the 2nd officer that shows up. I thought for sure he would follow up with her at the QT after telling her to go 'park over there and gather yourself'

If it wasn't raining she gets field sobriety, right? Not a good look.

They've had that tap the whole time too. Even when she was just missing at the time. They could have been discrete and said something like "last seen at..."

Maybe because there were like 100 comments on the Star's website accusing the cop of murdering her and the PD of covering it up.

Really strange story
